2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Has Its Very Own Fragrance

The upcoming FIFA World Cup, which begins June 12th, inspires many emotions: Sun, Samba, Colors and a Zest for Life. Guido M. Schmitt, owner of Cologne perfume manufactory, who is familiar with Brazil and is a passionate soccer (football) fan, came up with the idea of creating perfumes for the football World Cup, capturing all these emotions and associations.

“Years ago, when it was clear that Brazil would be staging the 2014 FIFA World Cup, I was immediately prompted to develop a really special range of perfumes for this event,” Schmitt said about the current product from his perfume idea factory.

In order to capture the enormous diversity of Brazil and the spirit of footballing (soccer) passion around the world, the perfumer has created two different perfume collections, fitting for this mega event, with the all encompassing name “2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil”. One name, four perfumes, one passion!

The Classic Line includes an intensive fragrance, one for men and one for women (Classic Man / Classic Woman), and with the Passion Line two lively, fruity perfumes for younger consumers (Passion Man / Passion Woman). Nothing was left to chance, from the blend of the typically Brazilian perfume ingredients, right up to the packaging.

Classic Man: A refreshing cocktail of oriental, fruity, woody and spicy aromas with a lemony top note from bergamot, lime, pink pomelo and a harmony of green leaves. The middle note of the perfume is defined by cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves and the warm base note of cedarwood, sandalwood, musk and tonka bean rounds off this masculine fragrance.

Classic Woman: This floral, fruity, aquatic and woody perfume has a top note of mandarin, pitanga leaves and peach. The middle note consists of yellow jambo, Damascus rose and pink freesia. Sandalwood, white cedar and musk were used as the base note.

Passion Man: This woody, maritime, spicy green perfume is sporty, lively and bold. The top note is provided by bergamot, cardamom and grapefruit. Cedarwood, vetiver, leather and musk form the base.

Passion Woman: Oriental, woody, fruity, that’s just a brief description of this young and feminine perfume. The top note of lemon scented bergamot, grapefruit, pear and raspberry is completed by a middle note of jasmine, red rose, violet and orange blossom. Patchouli, sandalwood, amber, vanilla and musk are used for the base note.

The elegantly designed packaging for the Classic Line in black/gold for men and white/gold for ladies is a homage to the precious trophy. The procedure for the high-quality embossing makes the trophy look real and is genuinely eye-catching. The packaging for the Passion Line – designed for men in fresh green-yellow citrus colors and for ladies in bright pink – radiates youthful freshness, Brazilian flair and a boundless zest for life.

All four perfumes in their entirety, in the official “Look” of the FIFA World Cup, represent the country of Brazil, the World Cup and – regardless of which of the four perfumes is preferred – a perfumed commitment to passion. The 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Collection (19.95€/$29USD) can be found exclusively at ARS Parfum.
