Conquering The ‘Cat Eye’ Look

The Makeup Examiner was so against the cat eye craze when it reemerged last fall. The look had been so exaggerated by the late Amy Winehouse and she was the only one who could truly pull off that extreme look. But, looking back at Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn, the look can be sultry, sexy and downright classic.

Fast forward to a few of today’s most iconic women like Angelina Jolie to Beyoncé, it’s safe to state that this look can be easily conquered, and, what’s more, look absolutely beautiful. Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics launched their brand new Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($6.99) at the beginning of August and the product takes the cat eye from “I can’t!” to
”It’s Conquered!”.

Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has a unique Japanese calligraphy-style brush that allows for precise, super-fine application and lets you create lines as small as one millimeter in thickness. So, are you ready to conquer the cat eye once and for all?

Easy Cat Eye:

  • Apply foundation as you normally would.
  • For an all day, or night, stay put – apply a little primer to eyelids.
  • Gently pull your eyelid taut. Start from the middle of your upper lash line and draw a line to the outer corner of your eye.
  • Go to the inner corner of your eye and with the same technique and draw a line back to the middle where you started.
  • To make the wing, start from how far out you’d like it to go, and draw one line back to your outer eye corner.
  • Now, draw another line to create the desired shape, and fill in the wing

Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics are available on the brand’swebsite,  Rite Aid, and select retailer’s.
