Ahead of a huge CoverGirl Capitol Beauty reveal, yesterday Sep. 25, CoverGirl sent word via messenger that simply read, “The Beauty Rebellion Begins 10.1.13”. This was a good indication that the brand was about to reveal another look for the CoverGirl Capitol Collection, and indeed they did.
Yesterday brought beautynistas and Hunger Games fans, alike, the look for the Power District (District 5), which was revealed via CoverGirl’s Instagram. To date, CoverGirl has revealed four looks for their Capitol Collection and have opened the Capitol Beauty Studio, with tips and tricks to achieve the looks for the Fishing District (District 4) and for the Luxury District (District 1). The look for the Coal Mining District (District 12) was revealed on Aug. 23, but the “how-to” will not been revealed until Oct. 1.
CoverGirl is set to launch the Capitol Collection on Oct. 1, just ahead of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Nov. 22 release date and just in time for the most spectacular Halloween looks, although The Makeup Examiner has fallen in love the fabulously rich crimson lip from the Luxury District for Fall and Winter. In the coming weeks, CoverGirl will reveal more avant-garde images for each district.
