Backstage at the Rachel Comey A/W2014 runway show, NARS Cosmetics lead makeup artist, Hannah Murray created a look that Murray said was as cool and quirky style. “The look is a cool, quirky Dover Street Market girl. The plum, lived-in eyes give a certain edge but with fresh skin and lips it has a carefree spirit,” shared Murray.

For the Creatures of the Wind A/W 2014 show, the collection was focused on transcendence for which lead makeup artist James Boehmer, NARS Director of Global Artistry, drew his inspiration. “We wanted the makeup to reflect a sense of purity and illumination, so we focused on gleaming, luminous skin and a metallic blue liner on the inside of the eye to light the eyes from within,” said Boehmer.

The Tome A/W 2014 runway show saw James Boehmer behind the brush. “The collection has subtle elements of the 60's. The beauty muse was the Iranian artist Shirin Neshat and we specifically wanted to capture the spirit of how she wore her eyeliner. This look is a modern interpretation of that, distilled in its simplest form. The definition is only along the bottom lash line and the boyish brow and glowing skin keep the look modern,” said James.
