Maybelline New York adds Frida Gustavsson to the A-list

Maybelline New York announced June 5 that Swedish supermodel Frida Gustavsson will be the newest face for the brand. Gustavsson joins a distinguished register of A-list spokeswomen that includes Christy Turlington, Julia Stegner, Erin Wasson, Kemp Muhl and Shu-Pei Qin.

Frida is a native of Stockholm, Sweden and in 2008 while shopping; a modeling agent scouted Frida. Classic story of a sweet and unassuming girl getting a modeling deal by being in the right place at the right time …  shortly after that initial meeting, Frida signed with IMG and opened the Valentino Haute Couture show in Paris for the 2009 fall season. Her impressive runway debut was the breakthrough moment for her career and Frida hasn’t stopped working since.

Her résumé boasts work with some of the world’s top designers including Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Alexander McQueen, and Giorgio Armani. Frida is also one of the most photographed models, both on and off the runway. Maybelline New York fans can expect to see Frida make her campaign debut for Maybelline late 2013.

Remember lovelies -- Ugly is not a physical flaw, but is of one’s character … choose beautiful!
