Pantone Announces Color of the Year 2015: How To Get It

Marsala. That’s the Pantone color of the year for 2015, that was announced Thursday, Dec. 4, and the shade color experts believe will be reflected in beauty, fashion, home decor and graphic and industrial design trends next year.

Pantone describes Marsala as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red.” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said the color would enrich the mind, body and soul. “Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness,” Eiseman said in the release. “This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors.”

So, how can you incorporate this elegant, sophisticated and stunning shade into your beauty regime? TME has a few Marsala hued suggestions from some of the most coveted beauty brands.
