Call me a clean freak, whatever, I honestly don’t care. However, I do care about my health and yours! It’s mind-boggling that the same woman, who will take great care of her skin, doesn’t bother to clean the tools that she uses on it. Just as you’ve adopted a solid skin care regimen, you too need to adopt the practice of cleaning your makeup brushes and tools. It’s time to make this part of your regular beauty routine.
Here’s a little motivation … Each time that you use your makeup brush, the brush picks up makeup, dirt and oil and all that grossness gets trapped in your brush. Learning how to properly care for your makeup brushes is an investment in both the brush and your skin. The best part is that cleaning your brushes is really easy and the payoff is a fresh brush for better makeup application, plus the preservation of the brush itself.
The best practice is to purchase a daily brush cleaner that you can spritz on to your brush after each use, but you still need to do a proper cleaning once a week.

- Place the brush in an upright position and allow to dry thoroughly.
