CoverGirl announced, yesterday Sep. 22, that world-renowned celebrity makeup artist, Sam Fine, has returned to the CoverGirl family. Sam Fine will serve as CoverGirl Brand Ambassador.
Sam Fine’s work has appeared on the covers of Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Essence, Vibe and Marie Claire. But, it was a hard climb to the top for this celebrity makeup artist. The Chicago native began his career 20 years ago behind the makeup counter! Through diligence and hard work, Sam Fine acquired a star-studded list of clients that include Vanessa L. Williams, Jennifer Hudson, Tyra Banks, Iman, Naomi Campbell, and CoverGirl’s own CoverGirl, Queen Latifah.
In 1995, Fine became the first African American spokesperson for CoverGirl and yesterday, he returned. As a CoverGirl Brand Ambassador, Fine will be offering the CoverGirl community beauty advice, how-tos and videos to inspire women to look their very best. In the coming weeks, Fine’s tips can be found on the Beauty Q tab on CoverGirl’s Facebook page. In conjunction with his work in the field, Sam Fine is a published author and penned the book “Fine Beauty: Beauty Basics and Beyond for African American Women,” which is available at Amazon.
