Harry's Partners Up For Movember 2014

This fall, Harry’s is the official razor partner for the Movember campaign in the US and Canada. Together, they’ve created a limited-edition razor to celebrate the commitment that guys make to grow their Movember moustaches and change the face of men’s health.

Harry’s and Movember will reward participants who have signed up on Movember.com and have raised $25 in donations by October 25th, 2014 with a custom, limited-edition razor -- while supplies last. Additionally, starting on October 13th, The Harry's x Movember Shave Set will be available for purchase on Harrys.com for $20, with $5 from each order donated back to the cause.

Harry’s and Movember want to help guys kick off the month by shaving down on Movember 1st and throughout the month Harry’s will provide fun tips on how to maintain their moustache. Harry's will help support Shave the Date: Movember 1st by activating barbershops and boutiques across the country on 11/1. Partners will be giving away complimentary custom razors and shaves to guys who are participating in Movember.

The Team at TME knows that us ladies want to support the gents too. You can do so by becoming a Mo Sista. Sign up and so your support at Movember Mo Sistas. *As we kind of missed this previously, it’s important to note that Harry’s Products Are Cruelty-Free!

The Movember Foundation is the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health. We achieve this by challenging men to grow moustaches during Movember (the month formerly known as November) to spark conversation and raise funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems. The Movember community has raised over $550 million, and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries, to date. This work is saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.

Harry's Launches New Men’s Skin Care Line

In an effort to build a full skin care line and grooming system, today Sep. 16, Harry's introduces two new skin care products specifically for the unique needs of a man’s skin. Striving to provide their customers with the best shaving experience possible, Harry’s co-founders, Jeff Raider and Andy Katz-Mayfield have brought forth a foaming shave gel and after shave lotion. Fabulous … but seriously … we were hoping for another Fall-Winter Look Book! We digress …

It’s a fact that everyone has personal preferences when it comes to what they use to lather up their face, so Harry’s added a Foaming Shave Gel as another option to its current Shave Cream. Foaming Shave Gel ($8) is formulated with skin-loving ingredients like Milk Thistle, Cucumber Extract, Aloe Vera, Hyaluronic Acid, Bergamot Oil and Licorice Root -- all of which offer up a soothing shave.

Harry’s also added an After Shave Lotion ($10) to keep our guys feeling fresh and moisturized post-shave. After trying a lot of after shave formulas on the market, they guys at Harry’s simply weren’t satisfied with any of them. So, they decided to develop their own. Formulated with Marula Oil, Cucumber Extract, Aloe Vera and Licorice Root Extract, this addition is another win for the guys.

Beyond feeling good with a great shave, you can feel good about Harry’s. The brand donates 1% of its sales and 1% of their time to community service work. The new men’s skincare line is available beginning today, September 16 at Harry’s.

Harry’s Launches Second Seasonal Lookbook for SS14 Collection

Men’s grooming outfitters, Harry’s, launched today April 15, the brand’s second lookbook “Paradise Found” and second seasonal collection. Readers may recall the brand’s first Fall-Winter Lookbook that dropped just ahead of its in FW 2013 collection in September, and it seems that Harry’s might be onto something with this unique achievement.

While Harry’s FW 2013 Lookbook brought us the feel of “quintessential fall and winter moments,” Harry’s SS 2014 Collection of limited edition razors draws inspiration from a “vacation for one”. Harry’s Spring/Summer 2014 Lookbook finds our hero spending a weekend alone with no one to answer to.

Described by Harry’s -- the lookbook is set in a desert retreat, surrounded by the colors and design elements that inspire the collection. We see our hero cook, swim, and daydream. The lack of company is refreshing, and he gradually slips into a sort of pleasant madness. By the time Sunday morning rolls around, he feels refreshed and content -- ready for the challenges another week presents. He makes his way back to reality, already planning his next escape.

Peruse through the slideshow for your own little escape and check out Harry's SS14 Collection with shave sets ($20) and individual handles ($15).

Harry’s Shave Opens Its First Barbershop

The Corner Shop

Harry’s Shave, the leader in reasonably priced high-end men’s grooming products, announced today Oct. 28 the opening of the brand’s first offline space, The Corner Shop barbershop. Harry’s Shave, launched in March by Warby Parker co-founder Jeff Raider and his business partner Andy Katz-Mayfield, aimed to bring men a luxe grooming experience sans the luxe price tag and apparently succeeded.

The brand experienced rave reviews for their men’s grooming products and saw a rapid sellout of product in March. Six months later, Harry’s dropped its first Fall-Winter Lookbook and FW 2013 product line. Today’s announcement is a lovely indication of the brand’s rapid success. With that said, what can one expect when visiting The Corner Shop? Comfortable convenience.

Jeff and Andy seemed to have thought of everything when it comes to combining convenience, affordability, and top-notch services for guys. Customers can conveniently book appointments through a calendar system at the Harry’s website. During the visit, barbers will utilize iPads to create and update digital customer profiles that include notes and headshots to provide customers with individualized services each time they return. With shaves at just $30 and haircuts at $35, the company aims to keep its pricing in line with the Harry Shave philosophy of offering exceptional products at a fair price.

At just over 300 square feet, The Corner Shop is designed to be a neighborhood destination. The space itself takes references from traditional barbershops, updated with modern elements including refurbished Koken barber chairs from the 1920s, the brands signature H’ logo tiled on the floor and simple ashwood shelves displaying merchandise. The merchandise stocked upon those lovely ashwood shelves will be, of course, Harry’s shaving products, along with other items that will appeal to the discerning gentleman. The Corner Shop is located at 64 MacDougal Street in Soho and will open to the public, tomorrow, Oct. 29.

Harry’s Fall/Winter Lookbook and New FW 2013 Collection

Men’s grooming outfitters, Harry’s, brings consumers another first, today Sep. 16, with their Fall-Winter Lookbook just ahead of the Sep. 17 launch of Harry’s FW 2013 collection, which updates their current collection with fresh new colors for the fall and winter. The Makeup Examiner brings readers an exclusive peek at the Harry’s Lookbook and Harry’s first seasonal collection.

The very things that we all love about these seasons inspired the Fall/Winter 2013 collection. “Quintessential fall and winter moments - the muted wash of an old flannel, the dusty sleeves of Zeppelin records, the nights spent camping in the woods (with whiskey-enhanced survival skills), the warmth of extra blankets,” descriptive from Harry’s FW13 Lookbook completely sums up the feel of fall and winter. And to test out the brand’s new offerings, the guys traveled to the mountains and lakes of upstate New York and worked it in the very environment that inspired the line.

Launched this past March by Andy Katz-Mayfield and Jeff Raider (co-founder of Warby Parker), Harry’s offers amazing, high quality men’s grooming products at an affordable price. In conjunction with affordability, the brand brings convenience to consumers with an auto-refill program. Harry’s was such a hit that within 24 hours after the brand’s launch, many found themselves on a wait list, which is why The Makeup Examiner is bringing readers the “inside scoop” ahead of the Sep. 17 launch of the FW 2013 limited edition collection.

Currently Harry’s offers blades ($1.88), shave cream ($8), and two superior handles, The Truman ($10- zinc alloy core with polymer coating in 4 colors) and The Winston ($20-aluminum), along with shave sets ranging from $15 to $50. Adding to Harry’s offerings, in their first seasonal collection, are four handles made of the same components as The Truman - Headley Grange, Ash Fox, Woodsman, and Nautilus Captain ($15 each also available in sets for $20). Take a look through the slideshow to see what awaits you and ladies, there’s a little something in the slideshow for you too!

Beyond feeling good with a great shave, you can feel good about Harry’s “Give A Shave” program. Harry’s donates one blade (or an equivalent dollar value) for each purchase to a non-profit partner that supports the mission of helping people to look and feel their best. The FW 13 collection will be available Sep. 17 and all Harry’s products are available at the brand’s website.
