Tilda Swinton On The Town

NARS Spring 2015 campaign model Tilda Swinton attended the 2014 RADiUS Holiday Party hosted by NARS on Tuesday Dec. 2. The event celebrated Tilda for her recent film, “Snowpiercer”.

On the previous evening, the British beauty attended the 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards, where she received the Actor Tribute Award for her body of work including “Snowpiercer,” “Only Lovers Left Alive” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” -- all of which opened this year -- as well as “Michael Clayton,” the 2007 feature for which she won an Oscar. For both events, Tilda’s beauty look was created by makeup artist James Kaliardos using NARS.

The 2014 RADiUS Holiday Party Beauty Inspiration: “Tilda’s look featured a bold red lip, so I pulled back on the eye and shaded it with soft hues to give depth and luster without looking like shadow. It’s a tougher, cooler way to wear lipstick. The faint hint of blush complements her skin tone but doesn’t overpower, giving her cheeks a healthy glow. Strong, modern, elegant but cool.”

Natalie Dormer Wears NARS At ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ Premiere

NARS worked with makeup artist Matthew VanLeeuwen to create the beauty look for Natalie Dormer, who attended the premiere of her film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 held at Nokia Theatre on Monday, Nov. 7 in Los Angeles.

NARS Cosmetics Announces Tilda Swinton As The Face For Spring 2015 Campaign

NARS Cosmetics announced today, Oct. 17, that Scottish actress Tilda Swinton, 53, will be the face of its Spring 2015 campaigns. The campaign imagery features the iconic actress in a series of four portraits photographed by Founder and Creative Director, François Nars.

Nars, known for his ingenious and rule-breaking approach to makeup, chose Tilda Swinton for her signature beauty and unparalleled character. This is not the first time that François Nars had chosen a less then convention face for the brand. Tapping 68-year-old British actress, Charlotte Rampling in February of this year, Nars proves that beauty -- true beauty -- is timeless.

“As a photographer, working with an actress like Tilda is very enjoyable,” said Nars. “She is a living legend. I love her bold style and really admire her work. As an actress, she brings such strong personality to the camera. And as a woman, she lives the experience of transformation and expression. She was the perfect choice for NARS.”

Additional information regarding the Spring 2015 launches will be released in the coming months.

NARS’ ‘Best Dressed Lips’ Instagram Contest

To celebrate “Best Dressed Lips Day” today, September 19, NARS kicks off with an exciting in-store initiative encouraging lippie lovers to show off their favorite shade of Audacious Lipstick at their nearest NARS counter or boutique. Also, NARS Cosmeticsinvites its followers to show off their most colorful moments in an interactive new Instagram challenge.

Focusing on four color families – nude, pink, coral, red, violet, or wine – fans will have the opportunity to snap a shade-inspired photo each day from September 19 until September 26. Beginning September 19, participants can enter the “Best Dressed Lips” challenge on the “NARS Exclusives” tab on NARS’ Facebook page, for a chance to win one of six prizes. Each prize consists of the shades featured in the select color family of the image chosen.

Coming Soon Christopher Kane for NARS

NARS Cosmetics announced today, September 15, its latest collaboration with fashion designer Christopher Kane. The Christopher Kane for NARS Collection will launch worldwide in May 2015 with a full color collection featuring products for eyes, lips and cheeks. Created in conjunction with Christopher Kane, the limited edition collection will be previewed later this afternoon at the Christopher Kane Spring/Summer 2015 show in London.

“NARS has been a long-standing and valued partner of ours, so this collaboration was an obvious fit,” said Christopher Kane. “NARS has the same unapologetic aesthetic that is signature to the Christopher Kane brand and I’m excited to share what we’ve created together.”

The collection combines NARS’ iconic and bold beauty philosophy with Christopher’s unexpected and innovative design aesthetic. NARS and Christopher Kane have been collaborating on the Christopher Kane runway shows at London Fashion Week since 2012.

About Christopher Kane: The Christopher Kane label was launched in 2006. It began almost immediately upon Kane’s graduation from Central Saint Martins, capitalizing on the success of his award winning MA collection that had already garnered much media attention. The Christopher Kane catwalk shows, held during London Fashion Week, are a widely acknowledged highlight of the international fashion calendar.
